AIE Apparel Pvt Ltd, product development services provider to textile firms, has installed a new software which allows a three-dimension apparel fitting simulated on a computer.

One of the difficult jobs before an apparel unit is to ensure that a fit, as close as possible to the target customer, is created quickly enough in the production cycle.

The 'Browzwear' software, which the Gurgaon-based firm has brought in the country, "enables the three-dimension fitting to be done on the computer and results can be reviewed by the client through the Internet ensuring that time and money is saved," AIE Apparel said in a statement here.

It said the apparel software helps in creating a virtual range for designer and creating product portfolio for the retailers.

AIE Apparel provides services to garment and textile firms such as Arvind Mills Ltd, Jai Shree Textiles, ColourPlus Fashion Ltd and some of its global clients, include Joe Jeans, TopGun, Trutch & Dare, Paige Denim and Vince. - PTI

As a follow-up to the successful project Orange’s “Elephants Dream”, the Blender Foundation will initiate another open movie project. Again a small team of the best 3D artists and developers in the Blender community will be invited to come together to work in Amsterdam from October 2007 until April 2008 on completing a short 3D animation movie. The team members will get a great studio facility and housing in Amsterdam, all travel costs reimbursed, and a fee sufficient to cover all expenses during the period. The creative concept of “Peach” will be completely different as for “Orange”. This time it’ll be funny and furry!
